Schlosscafe Falknerstueb`l in Lauenstein

So much passion in my job and love for animals. The show and story behind it was very interesting and amusing. Duration about 2 hours. The audience was involved very well. It's a shame that the falconer is currently under a lot of stress from our dear civil servants. I hope the community receives the valuable and historic attraction. You don't find something great that often anymore.

It was a very successful afternoon and we had a lot of fun. The falconer was very nice and the interaction with the animals was very interesting. We will be back.

The falconer is very nice, the animals look very well cared for and nourished and the show was just great, I can only recommend it.

Cake was several days old. Too bad.

It is worth visiting this falconry. The falconer lets his visitors take turns to hold the birds so that one comes very close to them. He also tells very entertainingly about the duties of the falconer then and now. The children are also involved and are allowed to keep the birds. Unfortunately, there seems to be resistance to falconry in the area, which is also discussed.

Yesterday had a wonderful and unforgettable day. I was made familiar with the work and duties of the falconer. Very extensive and a science in itself 😉 It's a great feeling to hold these proud birds in your arms. 💪 The lunch in the Falknerstübl was great ... So I can recommend it with a clear conscience! All the best Henry and we'll be back!

Tolkes Museum, children welcome, for children there a quiz through Musem. We like to come again.

Very rustic with delicious culinary delights. If still on offer, then necessarily order the elderberry soup with yeast dumplings. Tastes like "nuts".

Friendly service and hearty home cooking rounded off with a family atmosphere give the restaurant quite a raison d'être. My ragout fin was delicious. Unfortunately, the chef was probably a little bit in love with the seasoning of this dish. But the baked Camembert and roast venison were perfect. If you still have good teeth, you can also try the wild goulash, because the taste was very good. I'll definitely come back and keep testing.

Outrageous, rude, unkempt! For the food offered there is also completely overpriced! There is a long wait outside because nobody cares if someone could be outside when the weather is good. After questioning you get snippy short answer and wait another 10 minutes. Large groups that come later, although they have been waiting long enough, will be served even more! The 4 stars are what the cafe / restaurant or whatever you want to call it, completely out of place. About Show itself I can not make a judgment but about the happy location at the castle, another owner / owner should enjoy welcoming guests and serving! Likewise, the cook should be changed along with canned food! Definitely not recommended !!!

After a visit to the really beautiful exhibition in the castle and the castle itself, we were hungry and thirsty. The local gastronomy offered, the sun was shining and we got a place in the outdoor area. This should have given us to think about (slightly neglected) but the weather was nice and you can look away if everything else is right. We took 14th place and we were thrown in passing 2 cards on the table. From then we sat for 25 minutes without further notice. The host (dressed in a beautiful apron in Germany colors) was rare to see (our table was not completely cleared from the place of the previous guests) te then also still guests who had arrived long after us. When another guest reminded the host of a forgotten ice, which disappeared without apology in the guest room, the measure was full. Almost 25 minutes away, hungry and thirsty, we left. The castle is absolutely great but this gastronomy is not worthy of it. Absolutely not recommended.

After the beautiful falconer performance, we had lunch at Falknerstüb'l in Lauenstein Castle. We liked it very much. Price / performance was OK!

A visit of the falconer is highly recommended, especially with older children. You learn a lot about the native nature and history, have close contact with these wonderful animals. And finally a midday meal in the Falknerstübel!

We experienced a day with the falconer that was really worth it. For currently € 100 per person you are part of the two day shows with preparation (summer), feeding and training of the birds. Between the two shows there is lunch and coffee (included in the price) as well as a walk through the village with one of the birds of prey in your arms. The falconer himself gave a wide range of reports about falconry and the village of Lauenstein. We really enjoyed this day behind the scenes, thank you very much.
